What makes Woodlawn Commons more attractive than other similar facilities?
The Wesley Community has offered a continuum of care with a reputation for excellence for more than 35 years.  Experience is important. Woodlawn Commons, the newest and most elegant building on campus, is superior retirement housing with no complicated buy-in or investment required. Woodlawn is located within a few minutes’ drive of well-known attractions like the Saratoga Race Course, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Yaddo, or the famous mineral baths.

Who lives at Woodlawn Commons?
Woodlawn’s residents range in age from 62 years old to 90+ years old.

Are meals available at Woodlawn Commons?
Each apartment has a modern, efficient kitchen for at-home meal preparation. Residents may also take meals at Georgia’s Restaurant in the Barrett Community Center.  Delicious full breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are offered from an a la carte menu of your favorite foods.  Bring a guest.  They’re always welcome.

What other social opportunities are available at Woodlawn Commons?
Woodlawn’s Activity Coordinator plans activities ranging from entertainments to parties, socials to exercise classes.  Pleasant community spaces are available for residents who want to socialize with friends and neighbors.

May I have a pet in my apartment?
Yes.  Woodlawn Commons allows pets. Some restrictions apply and a deposit is required.

If I have relatives or friends from out of town, can they stay at Woodlawn Commons?
Yes.  Woodlawn Commons has a guest room that can accommodate two adults.  A full breakfast at Georgia’s Restaurant is included.  Visitors are also welcome to stay with you.

Is there a place to celebrate private family parties?
Yes, The Fox Dining Room is available for special occasions.

Will I be guaranteed admission into Woodlawn Commons’ Assistive Living or Wesley Health Care Center’s long-term care community if my care needs increase?
Housing residents living in The Wesley Community are given preferred consideration for other levels of care, but not guaranteed admission.  A separate application will be required.

Is there a waiting list?
Yes.  Until an apartment becomes available, a fully refundable interest-bearing deposit is requested from all applicants.
