What is long-term care?
Alternative living arrangements are necessary when an individual requires medical care or assistance that cannot be managed at home. Wesley’s long-term care program provides skilled nursing care for significant chronic medical needs in the elderly and chronic illnesses of adults. Persons who require specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care can also be served at Wesley.
Who qualifies for long-term care at Wesley?
An individual must meet the criteria established by the New York State Department of Health to receive long-term care services at Wesley. A medical evaluation is required prior to admission to determine the level of care needed.
What methods are available to pay for long-term care at Wesley?
Medicare and Medicaid may pay for long-term care, although restrictions apply. Long-term care insurance coverage is accepted at Wesley. Some residents pay with personal funds.
