The Wesley Foundation receives $100,000 Pledge
November 06, 2007
Saratoga Springs, NY - The Wesley Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a $100,000 pledge towards Outpatient Therapies’ Pediatric Endowment Fund. This fund has been created to help pediatric clients with financial constraints get the treatment they need to more fully recover from their injury or sickness. The pledge will be partially funded with a $50,000 donation this year and then fulfilled with another $50,000 donation in 2008.
Wesley gratefully accepts this donation on behalf of the pediatric clients of Outpatient Therapies who will benefit significantly from this generous gift. Our ability to serve our clients improves dramatically when we have opportunities like this.
While the donor wishes to remain anonymous, the donor is a resident of the Wesley Community, enjoys living there and wants to make a donation that would help children receive the quality care they need, when they need it most.
“With insurance plan co-pays continuing to increase, some families cannot afford to send their children to therapy for the length of time necessary for recovery”, said J. Brian Nealon, CEO of The Wesley Community. “This fund allows us to treat those who would otherwise suffer longer recovery periods due to their inability to cover the costs of treatment”, he said.
Tim Mabee, president of the board of directors of The Wesley Foundation, stated, “As special as the Wesley Community is, it is always heart warming when a resident acknowledges the hard work done by everyone everyday, sees a need and supports that need financially. We hope this fine example will encourage others to do the same.”
The Wesley Foundation was established in 1999 to serve as the fundraising arm for Wesley Health Care Center, Wesley Outpatient Therapies, Embury Apartments, Wesley Evergreen Adult Day Services and Woodlawn Commons Senior Living. For more information visit, http://www.wesleyhealth.com
